Yesterday was a year since you passed away. Words can not describe how much my heart aches. I miss you so much every day. There are many days when I get home and wish I could just pick up the phone and tell you about my day. So much has happened this year. With the holidays coming it just isn't the same without you. Your angel sits on top of my tree, looking over us but it just isn't the same.

They say time will make it easier and I hope that is true but my heart is never going to stop aching for you.

Six years ago today I started this blog. Wow! That is so long ago...2003. It doesn't feel like I've been at it that long. To think of all that has happened in the last six years just blows me away.

Three moves to new cities, new jobs, new boyfriends, new friends, sisters who have graduated high school, sisters starting college, finding the perfect man and the perfect job.

I'd say of the last six years these last few months have felt the most right. Everything seems to be going along fine. Everything is falling into place and we are doing goodl

Now if it would just stop snowing!!

Yes I am still here.

I took a little break from writing and reading blogs. At first I really missed it but then I didn't think about it. I think I was just a little too hooked and needed the break.

I absolutely love where we are living. Things are going really good here.

I started a job about a month ago now. I absolutely love it. Getting up and going to work is no longer a chore, it is something I enjoy. I'm working as an admin assistant in an accounting firm. I've even already got a raise. How awesome is that!

I've been trying to get ready for Christmas. Almost done my shopping already. Still have Christmas cards to write and baking to do. Also I don't have a tree, so I have to try and find one for a good deal.

I thought that having a few weeks of not working would be nice. I figured it would be relaxing and it would give me a chance to get things done and find my way around a bit. Well, I have not been working for just over two weeks, the first week being getting ready and moving. I am so bored. I mean I do have things to do like look for a job, but you can only do that for so many hours a day. Everything is unpacked, organized and my pictures are hung. My place is clean. You can only clean so much. I've been getting up and going to the gym every morning. Then I come read blogs, go and facebook and then spend some time looking for a job.

I don't know what else to do. It is not like I can go out and do things because not working equals no money to spend. And yesterday my boyfriend worked over 12 hours, which meant I was home by myself for a very long time. By the time he got home he was ready to go to bed. Tonight he should be home for dinner time, so at least I will have company for the evening.

At least today is looking to be a nice day, so possibly this afternoon I could go sit outside and read.

Anybody have ideas of things I could do so I don't go crazy in the next couple of weeks??

Well we made it. This last weekend was the big move. Everything went well for the move. It was a long drive here.

I'm very glad to be here now. I mostly like our place and it is in a quiet neighbourhood. It is weird to think that I live in a city. We have gone for a couple drives so I can get familiar with were things are and how to get around.

The unpacking is the worst part of moving. Yesterday we spent most of the day moving boxes and furniture into the rooms they needed to be in and I unpacked and organized the kitchen so we could cook. We are both so sick of take out, so last night we had a vegetable based dinner and was it ever good.

Again today for the unpacking, I am figuring it will take me a good week to get everything how I want it to be. But that is ok.

And now to start job searching as well. It seems that there are alot of jobs out there and I just need to find one that suits me.

In just over three weeks I will be living in another province. This last week I gave my notice at work and for my apartment. That made things alot more real. I knew before this that it was real, but now in a couple of weeks I will not have a job. Then yesterday my boyfriend left to head out there. Wow did it make everything that much more real.

I know it's only been a day but I miss him so much already. I'm glad that the next couple weeks are going to busy for me.

I can't wait to get there and be in our new place and living in one place again.

I can feel it cooling off tonight and it is nice. It was so muggy earlier. Now thunder and rain. We desperately need it, but I don't think we will get enough to really help.

Funny thing is they called for hot and sun all weekend. Funny how you can have a job and it doesn't matter if you are right or not!

I'm going to take advantage of the coolness and clean.

Everything seems to be falling into place for our big move. We have an apartment rented. We were emailed a few pictures and it looks like a nice place with lots of room. It is newly renovated. A couple of my favourite features would be the two sinks in the upstairs bathroom, a balcony off the master bathroom and a washer/dryer.

We have a moving truck rented and a flight back for my boyfriend so he can drive the truck of our stuff back. We also have the possiblility of a friend coming with us to help out. That would make everything so much easier.

On the long weekend he is leaving to work for a few weeks and is coming back in the last week of August to get me. It is going to be a long month by myself, but in the end it will be worth it.

Now that things are more planned out I am getting more excited rather than nervous like I have been.

The biggest things that are left to do is give notice for the apartment we are living in and to give my notice at my work. I can't wait to do that!

This afternoon after work I am island bound for the weekend. I'm really looking forward to getting away for a couple days.

There is a family picnic that is a memorial for my dad. Needless to say this will be a hard weekend. But I think that we all need it. It will be great to see family and friends and share our memories.

Sometimes it is hard to believe it has been seven months, it has just gone by so fast. This whole last year has. It was about a year ago we found out my dad would have a big battle to fight.

And it looks like we will have some nice weather to be outside for a picnic.

And lots has been going on.

My garden is growing and tomatoes are starting to grow on my plants. This makes me happy.

Living with my boyfriend is going well. At first we bickered a lot. Now it is better. We are learning to live together. It is nice to see him on a daily basis.

Our big move is coming up fast. It is now July and he is leaving near the end of the month. I won't be going until about a month after that. I can't believe how fast that is coming up. I am excited about it but also nervous. I mean leaving my job and friends and going to a city where I don't know anybody to start all over again. I am optimistic that it will all turn out good.

I am enjoying this beautiful weather and am glad to have today off. I'm going to do some relaxing, cleaning and some errands.
